Life At Affric
The unexpected pleasures are the most precious. A highlight of springing into summer this year has been having the privilege to watch four Tawny owl chicks grow in a hollowed out tree near the beehives - first spotted by the ever eagle-eyed Chris.
We’ve had the pleasure of seeing first the eggs, then the tiny chicks, under the supervision of their mother and provider. The fledged chicks have now taken to the trees, where they are capable of keeping estate dwellers awake long into the night with their squeaking. Mice and voles beware!
